One of the greatest myths in America about buying a house is that you need money to put down and great credit. With a USDA loan you can buy a house with a 620 credit score and no money as long as the sellers are wiling to pay the closing costs. There are even ways to negotiate to cover the closing costs when sellers are not willing to pay them.

As first time home buyers, we were new to the whole process and although I had done a lot of research, there were still some things we were not prepared for. We originally worked with the lender that was referred to us by our realtor, and from the beginning there were problems with communication. We were very unhappy with the service and when we found our home, and decided we wanted to go with an USDA loan, she told us that it was impossible to close in time.
